OCALA FL. (352 Today) Emergency crews are responding to a serious traffic accident on State Road 200 directly in front of the Lowe’s Home Improvement store. The crash, reported Wednesday afternoon, has resulted in major traffic congestion and lane closures in the area.
As of 3 p.m., only one lane of traffic is open. Emergency medical services and law enforcement remain on scene, managing traffic and assisting those involved.
The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, and it is unclear how many vehicles were involved or if there are any injuries.
Motorists traveling through southwest Ocala are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate east-west routes such as Southwest 19th Avenue Road or Southwest 42nd Street.
