MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE, 12:30 p.m.: Traffic is once again flowing through the intersection of SW 63rd Lane Road and SW 60th Avenue.
Early this morning, a rollover accident involving a pickup truck snarled traffic there, on secondary streets where traffic detoured and had a trickledown effect impacting traffic on SW College Ave (also known as State Road 200).
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) says the occupants of the pickup were able to get themselves out of the truck before first responders got on the scene. Paramedics transported them to the hospital in serious condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. While it’s not clear yet what caused the accident, it appears the roadway may have been slick from heavy rain coming down at the time.
ORIGINAL, 7:55 a.m.: Crews from multiple agencies are on the scene of a wreck in Southwest Ocala.

MCFR tells 352today a truck hit a power pole and rolled over.

Multiple callers to our partners at 93.7 K-Country report traffic is very slow-going in the area. The Florida Highway Patrol is also on the scene investigating.
352today’s Ben Baugh is on the scene and says cars are being rerouted through a Walgreens parking lot. He also says traffic is heavy at the intersection of SW 67th Lane and SW 60th Court Road where drivers are diverted around the closed roadway. Avoid the area until further notice.

This is a developing story. We’ll update the status of traffic conditions as we get more information.
