MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says a bus carrying about 20 students was involved in an accident Tuesday evening just after 5 p.m.
Troopers say the fender bender happened in the eastbound lanes of County Road 464 at the intersection of Southeast 64th Avenue Road.
FHP says based on evidence and a witness statement; the driver of the bus hit a pickup truck in the left turn lane.
Troopers identified the bus driver as a 59-year-old woman from Reddick and the pickup truck driver as a 57-year-old man from Ocala.
The director of public relations for Marion County Public Schools says the bus serves Fort King Middle School.
FHP says no one was injured, all students and drivers were fine at the scene.
