MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is looking for the driver who caused a wreck that left a 74-year-old motorcyclist critically injured.

Troopers say the accident happened on Thursday, Feb. 1, around 2:15 p.m. on SR 200 near 100th Street.

FHP says a man on a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound. They say a driver in a dark-colored pickup truck turned left in front of the motorcyclist causing the bike to hit the right side of the truck.

Troopers say the driver of the truck left the scene was last seen traveling southbound on SR 200.

Emergency crews transported the motorcyclist who is identified as a 74-year-old man from Dunnellon to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition.
