OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says an elderly woman on a golf cart hit and killed a man who was walking.
The accident happened at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on the multimodal path on SW 94th Street.
Troopers say they were both going the same direction on the path (westbound in the eastbound path).
FHP says a 93-year-old woman was driving the golf cart when she hit an 84-year-old man from behind.
Marion County Fire Rescue responded and said the man died at the scene.
