OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Department of Transportation announced yesterday that the eastbound turn lane on SR 200 leading to southbound SW 60th Avenue in Ocala will be closed overnight through the morning of Friday, October 16, 2026.
The turn lane will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night for the rest of the workweek.
The purpose of the closure is reconstruction of the sidewalk and crosswalk island at the southwest corner of the intersection.
“Motorists traveling northeast on S.R. 200 who wish to access southbound Southwest 60th Avenue will be directed to turn right on Southwest 73rd Street Road and proceed to Southwest 60th Avenue,” read the announcement, in part.

“This work is among several safety improvements being made at the intersection of S.R. 200 and Southwest 60th Avenue. These improvements include an additional span wire to allow each travel lane on S.R. 200 to have a dedicated signal, enhanced lighting and signage, and refreshed pavement markings.”
