OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala’s Cultural Art Division has acquired a new sculpture for its permanent public art collection, and it’s joining other metal artworks currently on display at Tuscawilla Park.

‘Make it Rain’ is a cast iron and steel sculpture by Ryan Lamfers. It made its debut at Ocala’s 2022-23 Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Now it can be found at Tuscawilla Park on the corner of NE Third St. and Watula Ave. in Ocala.

Lamfers currently teaches Sculpture and Foundations at the University of West Georgia, but his work has been in exhibitions across the country, from Flagstaff, AZ to Rochester, NY. According to the City of Ocala, Lamfers said his work “typically addresses the delicate balance between nature and industry.” He finds inspiration in nature and his travels.
