Two dead in head-on collision on CR 315 in Marion County

According to troopers, the crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. and involved a woman from Fort McCoy and a man from Interlachen.

MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 315 Wednesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

Troopers say the crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. when a 55-year-old man from Interlachen, traveling north on County Road 315, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 38-year-old woman from Fort McCoy, who was traveling south.

Paramedics pronounced both drivers dead at the scene.

FHP troopers are actively investigating the cause of the crash and have not released additional details at this time.
