GASTON COUNTY, NC (352today.com) – An extensive missing person investigation in Lowell, North Carolina, ends after authorities found human remains in a home there. Now two people from Ocala face charges in connection with the case.
North Carolina authorities say 55-year-old Kenneth Richard Johnson and 53-year-old Robin Rae Adair are both facing felony charges of concealment of death. Both were arrested in Ocala.
Authorities say Adair also faces obstruction of justice charge.
Detectives from the Gaston County Police Department in North Carolina say the two used to live at 613 South Church Street in Lowell where the remains were found.
Police won’t release the identity of the victim until the medical examiner’s office completes its investigation. But they say they believe this will solve the case of a person missing since 2020.
Someone else is living in the house where the remains were found, and police say those current tenants are not involved in the case.
