OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Claire Sensibaugh, a geometry teacher at Vanguard High School in Ocala, has been named the latest recipient of the “Thank a Teacher” award. The recognition comes from HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, HCA Florida West Marion Hospital, and the Public Education Foundation of Marion County (PEFMC).
Sensibaugh was honored during a school event on March 25. HCA Florida Ocala Hospital CEO Alan Keesee presented the award. Also attending were Marion County School Board Chairwoman Lori Conrad, Superintendent Diane Gullett, Ed.D., board members Sarah James, Ed.D., and Nancy Thrower, and PEFMC Executive Director Meghan Magamoll.

Sensibaugh’s nomination highlighted her dedication and patience in the classroom.
“Teachers play an incredibly vital role in shaping the futures of our students and encouraging them to become the best that they can be,” said Keesee. “We at HCA Florida Healthcare believe it is important to honor those teachers, like Claire, who inspire our youth to achieve academically and to thrive as good citizens who contribute to the community.”
The “Thank a Teacher” campaign encourages students, families, and school staff to recognize educators who make a difference. Selected teachers receive $250 and a personalized email with messages from their nominators. Visit the program’s website to submit a nomination.
