OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It’s an opportunity to become better educated and informed while paying tribute to those living heroes who’ve served.
Veterans Appreciation Weekend will be held Oct. 26-27 at the Ocala-Marion Veterans Memorial Park, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free, the public is invited to attend and there’s something for all ages.
It will be an opportunity to step back in time and to learn about the sacrifices that were made through living history encampments. The Florida Military Vehicle Heritage Group, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, will have a number of vehicles at the event including half-tracks, Humvees, Jeeps and trucks.
Additionally, there will be several vendors selling military memorabilia, along with music, entertainment, food trucks, and an educational center.
