OCALA, FL (352today.com) – North-central Florida is in for some ugly weather the next few days and the threat for severe storms that could produce tornadoes exists.
The National Weather Service office (NWS) in Jacksonville says showers and storms will begin during the afternoon hours today (Wednesday) and continue into the overnight hours through Thursday.

The NWS says heavy rainfall and storms are expected to develop, with the stronger storms along and south of the warm front for locations south of the I-10 corridor from the St. Johns River and eastward, with the potential for a tornado along the coast during the
overnight hours.
Localized flooding may be possible with rainfall amounts of 2 to 4″ possible.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
