JACKSONVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for northern Florida and southern Georgia.
The tornado watch was issued at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, and covers 15 Florida counties, including Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Marion, Suwannee and Union counties in the North Central Florida region.
A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes.
This tornado watch will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday evening unless otherwise indicated.
