OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It’s a safe bet if you’re doing anything outdoors this weekend, you’re going to be wet – either from rain or from sweat.
Whether you’re working out, gardening, taking the kids to the park or walking the dogs, get it done in the morning before it gets too hot and the chance for thunderstorms increases.
The National Weather Service (NWS) says there will be numerous afternoon and evening thunderstorms around North Central Florida but not everyone will receive rain.
The meteorologists say strong wind gusts and frequent lightning strikes are likely within stronger storms.
The meteorologists are also tracking the tropics. Three systems are trying to develop. The National Hurricane Center says one system could rapidly develop and become a tropical storm over the weekend due to the very warm water in the Atlantic.

While the systems don’t pose any immediate threat to Florida, it’s wise to be prepared. Check out the 352today Hurricane Weather Center for everything you need to know to prepare for any tropical activity.
