OCALA, FL (352today.com) – For many people across North Central Florida this weekend will be spent continuing to clean up from damage left behind from Hurricane Debby. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not going to make it easy to be outside doing the physical work.

From Crystal River to Cedar Key along the coast where flood damage and debris are the issues to inland in Ocala and Gainesville where downed trees need to be cut up and taken to the curb and fences require repair, it’ll be a dangerously hot weekend and the threat of rain, especially in the afternoons.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for Friday. While Saturday’s temperatures will be slightly cooler, the heat index will still make it feel like it’s in the triple digits.

The weather conditions will make the tasks even more difficult.

Making matters worse, the NWS says the threat of flooding still exists along many rivers including the lower portions of the Santa Fe.
