The Foundation, established by retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, provides comprehensive support to veterans through retreats, wellness programs, and initiatives for post-traumatic growth. Mills, one of only five surviving quadruple amputees from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, shared his journey of resilience and hope.

“While I was in the military, I was fortunate to serve the 82nd Airborne Division. I used to jump out airplanes, kick those guys in the face, do all that cool stuff. Well, I mean, only the ones that deserved a kick in the face,” he continues. “Unfortunately, on my third deployment to Afghanistan, I happened to set my backpack down on a roadside bomb, an IED. When the bomb went off, it tore off portions of my arms and legs. So, I’m one of five surviving quadriplegic parties.”

The Foundation’s flagship program offers barrier-free retreats at a fully adaptive facility in Maine, giving veterans and their families a space to heal and reconnect.

Presented by Chase, the event marks its third year and has raised over $1 million for TMF. Chase CMO Carla Hassan reaffirmed their dedication: “We are deeply committed to supporting our nation’s heroes and honoring their service.”
