OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Meteorologists at the National Weather Service (NWS) are keeping their eyes on the tropics.
With Atlantic water warming and steering currents setting up, chances for tropical activity are increasing and with it the chances for rain to impact North Central Florida.

The NWS is monitoring the potential development of an organizing low-pressure system near the Bahamas by midweek.
With that they say we should expect locally heavy rainfall by Thursday and Friday.
