OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Meteorologists for the National Weather Service (NWS) are keeping a close eye on an area of “disturbed weather” in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean.
Experts from say the system is expected to interact with an approaching tropical wave in the next few days. What it does from there is unclear at this time. But meteorologists say the environmental conditions are conducive for it to develop into a tropical depression by mid to late week. The scientists say it has a 50% chance of formation over the next seven days.

While it is not forecast to impact Florida at this time, the possibility exists. The NWS urges Florida resident so maintain tropical readiness by keeping supply kits stocked, having a family emergency plan and knowing your evacuation zone.
