UPDATED: Precautionary boil water order lifted for Salt Springs community

The utility says the reason for the order was due to a temporary loss of water pressure. UPDATE: MCU says a bacteriological survey was completed and the results show the water is safe to drink.

Marion County extends hours to get passports and marriage licenses on Sept. 27 through 29

The Marion County Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office will be extending hours to 7 p.m. on three special days to get a new passport, a marriage license or even a courthouse wedding. No walk-ins. Appointments are required.
