LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says three teenagers nearly died from drugs they took on the bus before school.
The sheriff’s office says that three Chiefland Middle-High School students – two 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old – ingested a near fatal overdose of drugs before school. They say all three students began to show symptoms of an overdose and were taken to a medical building on campus.
LCSO says Narcan was used on two of the three students and all were then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The sheriff’s office says Levy County school officials notified parents and made sure other students nearby were safe.
They say the three students were assigned to the “Focus program” and do not typically have interaction with ‘mainstream’ students which they say reduced the chance of exposure to other students.
The incident is currently being investigated by the sheriff’s office and school board officials.
“All three students are expected to make a full recovery but could be subject to both criminal charges as well as further discipline sanctions by the School Board,” said the sheriff’s office in the news release.
