NORTH POLE (352today.com) – Good little boys and girls across north-central Florida are eagerly awaiting special deliveries from Santa on Christmas Eve.
Starting Sunday, your little ones can track Santa’s path around the globe with 352today and NORAD.
For nearly 70 years, NORAD – the North American Aerospace Defense Command – has been tracking the jolly elf in addition to its everyday responsibility monitoring the North American airspace.
Using radar, satellites, cameras and a little bit of magic, more than 1,200 volunteers will keep tabs on the whereabouts of Santa and provide live updates until midnight on Christmas Eve.
NORAD says they cannot predict where and when he will arrive at your house. “We do, however, know from history that it appears he arrives only when children are asleep,” said representatives from NORAD. “In most countries, it seems Santa arrives between 9:00 p.m. and midnight on December 24th. If children are still awake when Santa arrives, he moves on to other houses. He returns later, but only when the children are asleep!”
Even though it looks like the weather on Christmas Eve will be cloudy in north-central Florida, we know that Santa can navigate any weather with Rudolph who can lead the other reindeer with his bright, red nose.
