Marion County Fire Rescue crews say a 911 caller reported a brush fire in her yard that was spreading toward homes.

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Just before noon on Thursday, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews say they responded to a brush fire endangering homes in the 8300 block of SW 139th Lane Road in Ocala.

Firefighters from multiple stations worked together to protect homes while others focused on putting out the fire.

Crews from the forest service provided mutual aid by bringing in two bulldozers and one brush truck to contain the fire.

MCFR says the fire was under control in less than two hours and burned approximately three to five acres burned. No one was hurt.

MCFR does not know yet how the fire started.
