WILDWOOD, FL (352today.com) – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a dense fog advisory in effect unti 10 a.m. Saturday.

The dense fog is impacting portions of southwest and west central Florida including the following counties:

  • Citrus
  • Hernando
  • Levy
  • Marion
  • Sumter

The NWS says the visibility is one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

Driving conditions can be hazardous due to the low visibility.

If you have to drive this morning, the NWS advises you decrease your speed, use your headlights, and leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Noah Maier, a 352today reader, sent us pictures showing the conditions on Interstate 75 southbound near Wildwood around 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Maier says the fog was thick on the interstate all the way from Ocala to Webster.
