OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The teams that have made it to the Sweet 16 play Thursday and Friday, March 28-29, and the Elite 8 in the NCAA college basketball tournament play this weekend.

There are plenty of dogs and cats at the Marion County Animal Shelter (MCAS) that would love to curl up on the couch and watch basketball with you all weekend.

These adoptable pets won’t judge you by your bracket.

The Marion County Animal Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TAKE ME HOME THIS WEEK – MARCH 28, 2024

Two-year-old Boss is looking forward to his future. This fun guy likes other dogs, enjoys running with friends in the yard, and wants to be someone’s best buddy. In Boss’ previous life, he wasn’t provided with training and any type of structure, but he is willing to give it a go in exchange for a loving, permanent place to call home. Courtesy: MCAS
Roxy is a nine-month-old lovergirl. Her heart is pure gold and we don’t want you to miss out on this gem of a cat. She is all the things people love about cats: soft, affectionate, playful, and full of purrs. She could be yours today! Courtesy: MCAS
Speaking of gems, check out Jewel, who we think has that best friend kind of face. Give this four-year-old a chance at a new beginning and reap the rewards of friendship for years to come! Courtesy: MCAS
