OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Florida gas prices saw a significant drop last week, with the state average declining by 13 cents per gallon, bringing the price to $3.02 on Sunday, its lowest level since January 2024. According to AAA – The Auto Club Group, over 60% of Florida gas stations now offer prices below $3 per gallon, and the statewide average may fall below this mark in the coming days.

“Florida gas prices are at their lowest levels since January,” says Mark Jenkins, AAA spokesperson. He noted that drivers statewide could see continued savings.

The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.20), Naples ($3.12), and Gainesville ($3.10), while the cheapest are in Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.78), Panama City ($2.81), and Pensacola ($2.86).

AAA offers tips for saving on gas: combine errands to reduce trips, compare prices locally, pay with cash to avoid credit card fees, remove unnecessary vehicle weight, and drive conservatively to improve fuel efficiency.
