OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Music lovers are in for a treat as Ocala Civic Theatre and Marion Cultural Alliance proudly present Settin’ the Standards, a captivating concert by the Brick City Cabaret Company. The performances will take place from March 14-16 at the Brick City Center for the Arts, offering an evening of sophistication and song.

This dazzling showcase will feature timeless jazz, pop, and film standards, including favorites such as It Had to Be You, Over the Rainbow, Blue Skies, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Me and My Shadow, Charleston, Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off, Ain’t That a Kick in the Head, and Fever, among others.

Founded in Ocala in 2006, the Brick City Cabaret Company is known for its exceptional vocal talent, featuring performers familiar to audiences from the Ocala Civic Theatre stage. The ensemble is led by co-artistic directors Jason Bartosic (music director and accompanist) and Jessica Mongerio (vocal director), with performances by Christian Gonzales, Adrienne Hebert, Hunter Leary, Jessica Mongerio, James R. Taylor III, Megan Taylor, Scotty Tomas, and Alexis Trimboli.

The concert schedule includes three performances:

  • Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m.

Doors open an hour before each show, allowing guests to enjoy a gourmet popcorn bar and a cash bar for drinks. Seating is limited, so advance reservations are strongly recommended.

Before the concert, attendees can explore Rivers, Springs, and Other Wild Things, a stunning art exhibit celebrating the beauty of Florida’s waterways, wildlife, and landscapes. Featuring works by five local artists, the exhibit includes photography, paintings, sculptures, and videography.
