BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Residents of Belleview will soon have a new opportunity to engage with local leadership while enjoying the outdoors. The city has announced the launch of “Walk and Talk with the Mayor,” a weekly community event set to begin on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 6 p.m.
The informal gatherings, led by Mayor Christine Dobkowski, will take place every Wednesday at Lake Lillian, starting at the large pavilion. The initiative aims to foster community engagement, allowing residents to discuss concerns, ask questions, and share ideas while taking a leisurely stroll around the lake.

“I am looking forward to spending time with our residents in such a relaxed and open setting,” Dobkowski said. “Walking together around Lake Lillian gives us a chance to engage in meaningful conversations about what matters most to our community. Whether you want to talk about upcoming projects, share ideas, or simply enjoy the fresh air and friendly company, this is a space for open dialogue and connection.”
Health experts emphasize the benefits of walking, noting that it enhances cardiovascular health, reduces stress, and promotes mental clarity. The city hopes the event will not only encourage civic involvement but also support residents’ well-being.
No registration is required to participate. Residents are encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes and join the conversation.
