OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection has announced the grand opening of its 4,800-square-foot facility expansion, marking a significant step in the organization’s mission to serve children in need.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m., where community members, donors, and local leaders will gather to celebrate this milestone.
The expansion, funded by grants and generous contributions from private donors and businesses, will improve the center’s ability to serve children who have suffered abuse and neglect. The new space includes an expanded lobby, designed by Ale Cretul, to create a welcoming and safe environment for children and teens.

This addition will also support the growth of Kimberly’s Center’s flagship Trauma Intervention & Advocacy Program, which provides specialized care for children transitioning into foster care. Since its inception in 2018, the program has helped hundreds of children navigate challenging transitions.
“We are incredibly grateful for the community’s generosity and commitment to protecting and healing children,” said Dawn Westgate, Executive Director of Kimberly’s Center. “This expansion represents hope and healing, ensuring that we can continue providing a safe, child-focused environment.”
