OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County has announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Ocala’s I-75 gateway sign.
The ceremony is set to take place on Friday, April 7, at 10 a.m.

The new signage, funded by tourist development tax revenue, is located at the 42nd St. flyover near I-75. It is currently viewable for those traveling northbound.
The signage depicts “OCALA” and is accompanied by art panels, fencing and lighting installation.

Officials say they wish for the signage to enhance visitors’ experience and reinforce the county’s identity on I-75.
Two projects that have drawn the attention and ire of concerned citizens the interchange at 484 and I-75 and the Marion Oaks Manor Flyover were discussed at the Marion County Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 21, 2026.
