OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Summer is a bit of a shy girl, but she’s just waiting for a loving family she can trust to help her sun come out.
She’s a three-year-old hunting dog/cur mix who came to Marion County Animal Services as a stray about a month ago. Summer has definitely seen some things, and she’s gentle to the point of being shy, but she’s also very curious and willing to come out of her shell with just a little time to learn her surroundings.
She’s a lean machine at just 35 pounds, with a gentle play style–she’d rather not get involved with all that macho wrestling, thank you very much. Her inquisitive nature leads her to search new rooms and seek out quieter corners of the house, but once a human earns her trust, she just wants pets, scritches and treats, and we imagine she’ll be a perfect partner for runs and hikes once she feels comfortable.

Those bright blue eyes don’t miss much, but they’ll look at you with love when she knows she’s home.
If you’d like to meet Summer and find out if she’d be a good fit for your loving home, arrange a meet at Marion County Animal Services today by visiting the website linked above or calling 352-671-8700. But hurry–the days of summer are almost gone, and we’re sure this Summer will be adopted soon. Make your house the home of endless Summer!
