FORT MYERS, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida (CF) Patriots and the Florida Southwestern (FSW) State Buccaneers split a Saturday doubleheader in Fort Myers, with both games ending in five innings due to the conference run-rule. In game one, Bucs third baseman Carlos Sanchez opened the scoring with a first-inning grand slam and finished with five RBI. On the mound, Abel Albarran (4-1) threw a five-inning shutout, scattering five hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

CF flipped the script in game two, unleashing a power surge with five home runs in just five innings. Cooper Jones and Jacob McKenzie each homered twice and combined for eight RBI. Dawson Harman added his 19th home run of the season, putting him within three of the CF single-season record (22, Juan Correa/2023).
