WILDWOOD, FL (352today.com) — What began as a small dream in 2007 with just 20 bikes and a simple goal has grown into one of Florida’s leading pre-owned motorcycle dealerships. Lucky U Cycles, owned and operated by Jeremy Coon, is celebrating its 18th anniversary in the Wildwood community, and its journey has been anything but ordinary.
“When we started Lucky U Cycles back in 2007, our goal was simple – sell 15 to 20 bikes a month, do a little service work, and have fun doing what we love,” says Coon. “Fast forward 18 years, and that dream has grown into something incredible.”
With a 15,000-square-foot facility and over 300 motorcycles in stock, Lucky U has become a staple for riders across the region. The dealership now sells more than 100 bikes a month and is powered by a dedicated team of full-time technicians.
Coon credits his early days at a Harley-Davidson® dealership for shaping his approach. “That hands-on experience taught me the ins and outs of how a real shop runs – and more importantly, it lit the fire that would eventually become Lucky U Cycles.”
He also points to the influence of his mentor, Redmond Ryan. “Red gave me the confidence to take that leap, and that’s why Lucky U Cycles exists today. Rest in peace, Red. Your impact lives on in every mile we ride.”
Through financial challenges, limited inventory, and fierce competition in the early days, Coon wore every hat, from salesman to janitor. “What kept me going was the passion for motorcycles and the belief that we could create something different,” he says.
That belief now fuels a dealership that offers financing through eight lenders, nationwide and international shipping, and a showroom full of options, from $2,000 starter bikes to $50,000 dream machines.
Beyond sales, Coon says Lucky U is all about community. With its new building on five acres, the dealership hosts concerts, car shows, and motorcycle events, making it a true destination.
“It’s not just about selling motorcycles anymore. It’s about creating a place where the community can come together and have a damn good time.”
Looking ahead, Coon sees even more growth: “We wake up every day with our hand on the throttle and ready to roll… At the end of the day, it’s still about the ride – and we’re just fueling up for the next chapter.”
