The first Ocala location opened its doors in September 2024 at 3394 SW College Road. “We are so excited for our second location, the reception from the community has been amazing. The love and support we have received throughout this process is outstanding and we cannot wait to serve more of the community we love so much, while enriching lives in the process,” says William Cone, franchisee of Smalls Sliders of Florida.
Smalls Sliders stands out not only for its menu but also for its unique architectural design. The restaurants operate out of 750-square-foot, bright orange shipping containers, that Cone says are affectionately known as “cans.” This modular setup allows for efficient service, featuring double drive-thru lanes and a covered patio for outdoor seating.
Cone indicates that Smalls’ menu is intentionally straightforward, focusing on quality and flavor. You can indulge in freshly prepared cheeseburger sliders, crispy waffle fries, rich milkshakes, and don’t forget about the queso.
The Smalls Sliders of Florida’s vision extends beyond Ocala. With plans to open up to 30 Smalls Sliders locations across North Florida, including areas like Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine, Cone’s commitment to the brand and the region is evident as more jobs are made available.
The upcoming opening is not just about food; it’s about community, shares Cone. Smalls Sliders has a tradition of recognizing local heroes through its “Smalls Town Hero” initiative. In Ocala, Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection was honored for its dedication to supporting children affected by abuse.
