MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Christian Scribben, a 17-year-old from Marion County, was direct filed – meaning charged as an adult without juvenile court proceedings – into the Marion County Jail on April 29, 2025, for Directing a Sexual Performance by a Child, Utilizing a Computer to Solicit a Child while Misrepresenting Age, and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) acted on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received on February 28, 2025, alleging that a local user was instructing children via the video game Roblox to engage in sexual acts with siblings and produce child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Major Crimes Detective Henrik Osthed’s investigation identified Scribben as the suspect. On April 16, 2025, a search warrant was executed at Scribben’s residence on NW 40th Avenue Road, with assistance from the Ocala Police Department SWAT Team. Multiple devices were seized for forensic analysis.
During an interview, investigators say that Scribben admitted to targeting children on Roblox daily, directing them to create CSAM, and moving conversations to Discord or text messaging. They say he confessed to misrepresenting his age to gain trust and targeting multiple children daily for over a year. Scribben remains in custody without bond.
Authorities suspect additional victims and urge anyone with information to contact Detective Osthed at 352.351.4710. The investigation continues to identify victims and gather further evidence.
