OCALA FL. (352 Today) Marion County Utilities will issue a precautionary boil water notice on Wednesday for 16 residential addresses in the Ocala Waterway Estates neighborhood as part of planned water valve installations and maintenance.

The notice will go into effect beginning at 8 a.m. on Sept. 17 and is expected to remain in place until water quality testing confirms the system is safe. The utility will be conducting maintenance between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., during which time residents will experience a temporary interruption in water service.

The affected addresses are as follows:

  • SW 100th Street: 4890, 4855, 4835, 4801, 4761, 4872, 4850, 4800, 4700, 4725
  • SW 100th Lane: 4874, 4864, 4854, 4824, 4855, 4865

Residents are advised to bring all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing food to a rapid boil for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may be used as an alternative. Water used for bathing, showering, or laundry does not require boiling.

Once service is restored, Marion County Utilities will conduct water quality testing. Residents will be notified when the boil water notice is officially lifted.
