GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – A Gainesville man was arrested Saturday, May 30, 2026, after deputies say he sent an intimate photo of his former girlfriend to her employer in an attempt to cause emotional and professional harm.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Jacob Aaron Porter is charged with sexual cyberharassment and digital voyeurism after allegedly sending a nude image of the woman to her manager.

Investigators said the victim told deputies she was unaware Porter had the photo, which was reportedly taken while she was asleep. The image was allegedly sent to her boss along with a message referencing the victim’s birthday. Law enforcement traced the message to a phone number associated with Porter.

The sheriff’s office determined the message was intended to cause substantial emotional distress and damage the victim’s professional reputation. Porter was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the Alachua County Jail. Authorities said he declined to answer questions after being advised of his rights.

Court records show Porter was already on pretrial release from a March 2026 DUI-related charge at the time of his latest arrest. A judge set bond at $100,000 on the new charges.

The charges are allegations, and Porter is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
