OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A 68-year-old Ocala woman was arrested after Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies said she repeatedly called 911 because a local bar refused to serve her a Jell-O shot.
Diane Blalock was taken into custody Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Nowhere Bar on SW 27th Avenue. Deputies said Blalock called 911 multiple times requesting law enforcement assistance after a bar would not provide her with a Jell-O shot.
Dispatchers reportedly received at least three calls from Blalock seeking help obtaining alcohol. When attempts to contact her by phone were unsuccessful, a deputy was sent to the bar. Authorities said Blalock called 911 again while the deputy was enroute.
Upon arrival, deputies found Blalock seated outside the business. She reportedly told deputies she had come to the bar with a friend who left and wanted a ride home because of medical conditions that prevented her from walking. Deputies informed her that law enforcement could not provide transportation.
Investigators said the bar owner advised deputies that Blalock had previously been issued an indefinite trespass warning from the property. Deputies confirmed the warning before placing her under arrest.
A search conducted after her arrest allegedly uncovered a small amount of marijuana and two pipes in her purse. Marion County Fire Rescue evaluated Blalock at the scene after she told deputies she had consumed alcohol and recently smoked marijuana. She was medically cleared and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Blalock faces charges of misuse of 911 services, trespassing and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
