WEIRSDALE, FL (352today.com) – A 69-year-old Lady Lake man died in Summerfield Weirsdale as the result of a single-vehicle collision in Summerfield in the evening hours of Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was riding a motorcycle east on SE 175th Street when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The man was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 10th motorcycle fatality in Marion County in 2026, according to public records and local reporting.
It’s also the second single-vehicle motorcycle fatality in the county in less than two weeks. On May 23, a 68-year-old Ocala man riding westbound on Maricamp Road was killed when his motorcycle overturned for unknown reasons.
