LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – An 18-year-old suspect in a May Lady Lake shooting and an armed robbery has been apprehended by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, Jeremiah Mykel Ackon, was taken into custody by the HCSO on Monday, May 8, 2026.

Lady Lake Police previously announced they were searching for Ackon, whom they publicly announced had been positively identified as the man who exited an SUV to shoot into a passing vehicle from a parking lot along U.S. HWY 27/441 on May 19, 2026.

Ackon is also the suspect in an armed robbery of a Lady Lake vape shop on May 30. Authorities believe he was captured on store security video during the crime.

“We’d like to thank our law enforcement partners including the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and FDLE’s Special Investigations Division for assisting in his apprehension,” said a Lady Lake Police spokesperson in an announcement.

Ackon is currently being held in the Hillsborough County Jail.
