OCALA, FL (352today.com) – We’re entering primary season here in Marion County, when the election cycle really starts rolling quickly toward August 18, 2026, when residents will cast their ballots to see who runs for various offices–from the county prosecutor and two county commission seats up through the governor–in the November general election.

This month, the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership and Progress Marion have teamed up to offer residents a chance to ask some questions of their candidates, and hear the answers live, in the form of their Marion County Candidate Forum 2026.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, the community will be able to meet and hear from local candidates running for county commission, the school board, and the Florida State House of Representatives at Ocala’s Marion Theatre. In addition to being free and open to the public, the event will be livestreamed on YouTube and broadcast on Gainesville’s WCJB Channel 20.
