LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – Lady Lake police are asking the public to come forward with information regarding a traffic incident in which a pedestrian was struck by two vehicles in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
According to an announcement, an unnamed male was struck by two vehicles while standing in the middle of U.S. HWY 27/441 at approximately 3:26 a.m. Tuesday morning.
“According to the preliminary investigation, the Tacoma driver said the pedestrian was standing in the middle lane of the highway and appeared motionless before he was hit,” read the announcement, in part. “He was wearing dark clothing, and the area was not illuminated by streetlights. They told officers she was traveling 50 to 55 mph when she noticed the man on the road. She attempted to avoid him but was unable to and struck him. The driver immediately stopped, and her passenger went to check on the man while 911 was called.
“A short time later a second southbound vehicle struck the man and continued driving without stopping.”
Lady Lake police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the second vehicle. Individuals with helpful information are “asked to contact the Lady Lake Police Department at 352-751-1560 or submit a tip through Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS,” and leave a message for Officer Dennis Pranouskes of the Traffic Homicide Unit.
