OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Large crowds and even bigger fireworks took over Ocala-Marion Veterans Memorial Park, at 2601 SE Fort King St. for America250 on the evening of July 4, 2026, drawing a throng of thousands to the area with festivities beginning at 5 p.m., including the Patriotic Parade at 7:30 p.m. and ending with the highly anticipated fireworks display shortly after 9 p.m.

This celebration brought the county together for an extravagant celebration of the semiquincentennial milestone of the United States’ independence with the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Festivities began with live music by Noah Hunton, a country singer and songwriter local to Ocala; locals gathered around the stage with some standing directly in front while others filled the field with lawn chairs and blankets for a comfortable viewing experience.

Food trucks lined the street between the main branch of the Ocala Public Library and Veterans Memorial Park. Guests filled the street for snacks and drinks from vendors featuring funnel cake, empanadas, shaved ice, lemonade, sandwiches, donuts and plenty more. As the fireworks began to shoot off, crowds began to disperse from the food trucks to get a view of the display.

Crowds took their place to watch the fireworks from lawn chairs in the grass fields, memorial benches, and short and tall brick walls from throughout the park. The display lasted for about 20 minutes with a variety of shapes, sizes and colors, with larger fireworks lighting up the park. Guests watched, recorded and ate during the show, mesmerized by the large display. Throughout the evening, guests showed their enthusiasm with color-coordinated outfits, flags, sparklers and a USA chant just before the fireworks began.
