MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 59-year-old Anthony man was killed riding a motorcycle in Marion County on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling north on CR 35 north of SR 326 at approximately 4:30 p.m. yesterday when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. The motorcycle left the roadway to the right and “collided with a fixed standing traffic sign.”

The man was thrown from the cycle, which ran into a ditch.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

According to our research, this is the third fatality in Marion County in 2026 involving a motorcycle and no other vehicles, out of a total of 12 motorcycle-related fatalities.
