MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Utilities has issued a boil water notice in the Pine Run Community and along SW 105th Street.
The water utility was forced to shut off water at around 3 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, due a water main break and valve install.
The water will be turned back on when the work is completed, but residents are advised to boil water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth until the notice is rescinded. Water must be boiled for at least one full minute for the procedure to be useful. Alternatively, bottled water may be used.
Water used for other household purposes such as bathing or laundry need not be boiled.
“Utilities will perform water testing per regulations from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and will advise the above-listed customers once this boil water notice is lifted,” reads the notice.
