MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – An 18-year-old Marion County man was arrested earlier this week for sex crimes involving juveniles.
Back in June, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a tip about Jonathan Quandarius King impregnating a 15-year-old victim. During the investigation, the victim disclosed additional counts of sexual battery, and King was arrested.
On Monday, August 3, 2026, deputies addressed a separate complaint involving King sexually assaulting a victim younger than 12 years old. This victim described multiple accounts of sexual battery, including one the night before King’s arrest, when he allegedly pulled the victim into a bathroom in a residence, prevented her from leaving and sexually battered her.
King was interviewed by detectives while in custody and, after first denying the charges, relented and confessed to lying to them.
King was charged with Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Victim between 12 and 16 Years Old, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, four counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim under 12 Years Old and False Imprisonment of a Child to Commit Sexual Battery. He is being held at the Marion County Jail.
“King remains in custody at the Marion County Jail. Due to the nature of his crimes, and the fact that two separate juvenile victims have already come forward, detectives believe that King may have additional victims,” an announcement read. “Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Zachary Elliott at 352-671-3847.”
