OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department has arrested a 19-year-old man for the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man at an Ocala convenience store.
The man was shot at King’s Food Mart at the corner of SW Fort King Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. He died from his injuries.
Last night, OPD announced it had apprehended a suspect, 19-year-old Curnel Brown.
“The suspect, 19-year-old Curnel Brown, has been identified, located, and is in custody. He is charged with second-degree murder,” read a social media post by OPD. “Our hearts go out to the victim’s family during this difficult time.”
