Saucy! by KFC is bringing a night of new flavors, food and entertainment to Gainesville with Saucy! Fest on Aug. 20.

GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – Gainesville diners looking for something new can get an early taste of several upcoming menu items when Saucy! by KFC hosts a one-night community event next week.

Saucy! Fest is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gainesville location at 3403 W. University Ave. The event will celebrate the restaurant’s new Flavor Playground with food tastings, interactive activities and live entertainment. The event will also give guests an opportunity to try several menu items before their official launches.

One of the biggest additions is the Sauc!es Combo, which officially launches Aug. 20 as a permanent menu item. The combo includes three tenders, fries, a medium drink and four dipping sauces. The sauces are represented by four Saucy! characters: DJ Saucy! with Saucy! Sauce, Creole Capone with Creole Honey Mustard, K-Ferno with Korean Sweet Heat and Teri Yappi with Sweet Teriyaki.

Guests at Saucy! Fest will also get an early taste of two upcoming additions. Nashville Hot Tendies, featuring a Nashville Hot Rub, are scheduled to launch Aug. 25. The menu item brings Nashville-inspired heat to Saucy!’s tenders. The restaurant is also prepping to introduce Dirty Sodas through its new Beverage Remix Bar. The drinks are scheduled to launch Sept. 1 and will offer a way for customers to create customizable beverages.

Saucy! Fest will include several activities alongside the food tastings. The first 200 guests will receive complimentary sauce flights, giving them an opportunity to sample different sauces. Guests can also take part in Sauce Roulette, a spin-to-win game featuring Saucy! merchandise, including T-shirts, temporary tattoos, stickers, luggage tags and vinyl record coasters. A live DJ will provide entertainment throughout the event.

For Gainesville diners, Saucy! Fest marks another addition to the city’s growing dining scene, bringing Saucy!’s flavor-focused concept and new menu offerings to an area already known for its variety of food options.
