MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue responded to and contained a mobile home fire in Silver Springs Wednesday evening.
According to a MCFR announcement, crews responded to the 400 block of SE 162nd Terrace at just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after a 911 call reported a fire.
Responders from East Marion Station #4 arrived at 7:58 p.m. to discover “light smoke coming from the single-family home,” per the statement. The small fire was extinguished in minutes using water cans.
The Red Cross was brought in to help the resident family while firefighters remained on the scene. No injuries were reported. The incident reportedly remains under investigation.
