OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala has set the date for the fourth installment of its now-annual downtown Brick City Bluegrass Festival: It’s Saturday, February 6, 2027.
They’ve also announced the headliner, and it’s a doozy this year: the legendary Yonder Mountain String Band, an influential presence in and beyond the roots-music scene that’s introduced multiple generations, from jam dads to college kids, to the genre.
“The group, known for nearly three decades as a driving force in modern roots music, recently released its 12th studio album, “Good as True,” reads the city’s announcement. “The new record blends the band’s signature hard‑driving bluegrass with folk, rock, and country influences, highlighting its distinctive instrumentation, strong vocal harmonies and long‑standing musical cohesion.”

An eminently family-friendly outdoor event, Brick City Bluegrass will once again take over Citizens’ Circle from 1 until 7 p.m. with food trucks, tunes and a festive open-air atmosphere. Alcohol will be sold at the festival, courtesy of the Ocala Silver Springs Rotary Club, with proceeds benefiting various local nonprofits.
Tickets go on sale here next Thursday, October 1, and yeah, that’s early, but here’s the deal: Discounted $30 “pre-sale” tickets are only available until November 30 or they sell out. Those same tix will be $50 at the gate, so get to clickin’ so you can see some pickin’.
