OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Something spooky is stirring beneath the surface of the Silver River. The Lost Souls River Tour is returning to Silver Springs State Park this October, offering visitors a Halloween adventure aboard the park’s famous glass-bottom boats.

The family-friendly, 45-minute tour takes guests along the Silver River as a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain shares eerie stories, mysterious legends and tales inspired by Silver Springs and the creatures that call its waters home. With a glass bottom separating passengers from the depths below, visitors can keep an eye out for whatever might be lurking beneath the boat.

The 2026 tour features new stories, lore and surprises. Trips are available Oct. 16-18, Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 30-31, with departures scheduled for 11 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 1:20 p.m., 2:50 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

Silver Springs State Park is located at 5656 E Silver Springs Blvd. Admission to the tour does not include the park’s $2 per-person entrance fee, which must be paid at the ticket booth upon arrival. Visitors should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled departure to check in and board. Boats leave promptly at their scheduled times.

Advance reservations are highly recommended because availability is limited. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance qualify for a full refund, but same-day refunds and rebookings are not offered.
